Johnakeshia is a fashion mogul based out of Jacksonville, Fl. She found her love for fashion at a young age where she would play dress up in her mother’s closet. Now at age 30, she still has that same love for fashion. Johnakeshia attends the University of North Florida, and her major is communications: journalism & multimedia. Once she graduates college she plans on becoming a fashion editor for a major fashion magazine.
Johnakeshia is currently a fashion writer for inspiring magazine and a DIY writer for everything girls love. EGL is a blog for the modern domestic woman and is founded by Latoya Bond and Yandy Smith from Love and Hip hop.
Johnakeshia is also a fashion stylist and her work has been published in magazines nationally and internationally. Her styling journey begins after going off to school and having to return home because she couldn’t financially afford to attend the Art Institute. Many would’ve given up, but instead, she got some business cards made and begin following her dreams.Johnakeshia has attended the school of style with celebrity stylist Luke Storey. Fashion has always been a therapeutic healing method for johnakeshia, she says, “it’s something about a woman with confidence, they embrace a new walk with their head held high, and that feeling alone is the reason she strives to help other women embrace their outer beauty.” In 2015 thumbtack named her the best image consultant. As she continues to revamp herself and find new endeavors to embark on, she has started a fashion blog called the style spy. The style spy features fashion from all over the world and shines the light on other fashionistas. She also has a youtube channel which features DIY fashion remakes and fashion lookbooks.
Johnakeshia is the owner of Jakyt. Jakyt is an online store that caters to women who love to dress with an edge.
The road to success has been a little bumpy, but it has also taught her the meaning of perseverance. Instead of giving up at a stumbling block by the grace of God, she has always found another way.
