Heyyyyy Gurl, Heyyyy! I’m back with another D.I.Y project. If you missed last nights live video, I’ve decided that I will no longer keep them up but per usual I will post the steps on here.
So let’s take a look at how I recreated this bag.
Fabric: interfacing, faux fur, lining
1 sheet of printing paper
Step 1: Fold right sides together
Step 2: Place and pin down printing paper on fabric and then cut. Repeat these steps for lining.
Step 3: Repeat steps 1-2 and cut interfacing and then iron it on fabric.
Step 4: Sew down the sides and cut the corners of the bottom bag.
Step 5: I left this step out but if you would like to add lining this is when you will sew the lining down inside of the bag.
Step 6: Measure, cut and then iron on interfacing fo straps. I measured mine 3 inches wide and 12 inches length.
Step 7: Sew a straight stitch along the straps on both sides to add a finish look. Turn bag inside out and pin straps to inside of the bag. Then do a straight stitch going around the bag.
I’m becoming a little more comfortable with my machine and I was overall pleased with how this bag turned out.
If you recreate this look #stylespytaughtme I would love to see your version of this bag.
Until next time ✌🏽
