Hey guys, over the weekend, I met up with Janee Barbre the founder of a creative girl hangout. We met up at the glossier pop up shop, for those who aren’t familiar with the brand here is a little backend story.
Glossier was founded by Emily Weiss’s beauty blog called “Into the Gloss.” Weiss started her career at Teen Vogue, gradually moved to Conde Nast. In 2010, she left and began her own blog where she shared beauty tips and tricks with her online following. Due to the fact that many beauty brands weren’t satisfying Weiss nor her followers she launched Glossier. Her first four products were a cleanser, priming moisturizer, lip balm, and a misting spray. From there the brand has blossomed into a one-stop beauty store.
To be honest, I had little to no real information about the brand until this weekend. I have seen their advertisements and been on their website a few times but I have never tried their products.
The beauty of this pop-up shop is that it was an entire experience. We were able to feel and touch the products before actually buying them. Check out some of the flicks that I took at the event.
No worries, if you’re in the Atlanta area Glossier will be in town until April 26 at the Ponce Market located next to Pancake Social.
