Many women tackle the everyday task and do it while still being fashionable. Regardless, if they’re a mom, chef, designer or author they still do it with style. I had the pleasure to chat with Author Loretta Walls. Loretta is a dope writer who specializes in everything from romance to adventure. Get to know more about her below:
Who are you and what do you do?
I am Loretta R. Walls (Romance, drama, fiction genres) and Embue (Grown and sexy, action/adventure, fiction). I write novels that send the reader away on a journey like no other.
How do you know this is what you wanted to do?
I didn’t initially. I’ve been writing since the age of thirteen but didn’t start professionally until age twenty-nine, after my return from the military. It was overseas after publishing “Spices of Life” the confirmation came to fruition.
Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?
In 5-10 years, I see myself having movies completed my written works.
What do you like and dislike about today’s literature?
I like the diversity in today’s literature. It has many avenues to read and enjoy. For the dislikes, I’m not fond of how some still do not embrace a self-published author. Being one, it is not the easiest task, yet, I do my very best to bring forth quality work as if it came from a traditional publisher.
What’s the inspiration behind your novel?
The inspiration behind any novel I write is that it excites my heart. I cannot write if that primary spark is not there.
How do fashion and literature intertwine?
Fashion and literature intertwine: They do not in my opinion. Fashion fluctuates far too quickly compared to literature. Every author has their own style and
dropping designer names in books is not looked upon as premier now.
Describe your ideal closet?
My ideal closet: Tons of jeans (I like to dress them up or down), blouses, casual dresses, a few suits for special occasions, vests, infinity scarves (I wear often), boots, heels, Dansko clogs (my FAVORITE SHOES EVER) and a few pairs of sandals.
A trend that has caught your eye lately?
I haven’t had a trend catch my eye this year. I usually go the opposite way on things like that to remain original.
What is style to you?
Style to me: It’s not just what you wear or how you wear it, but the attitude that contains it all.
What is your influence and do you think people take away from you?
My influence is life. I think people take my energy and see it for what it is; me just being me.
