Hey Spies, I am back with another spotlight. It amazes me the number of women that I encounter who simply wear many titles. Last week, I chatted with an author and this week I am shining a light on another one. I recently chatted with an author and Practical Nurse.Find out more below:
1.Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Toya Miles aka T. Miles. My primary profession is a Licensed Practical Nurse and I am also a published indie author.
2. How did you know that this is what you wanted to do?
I knew writing was what I desired when I read my first urban novel and couldn’t put it down. After reading it, I began to have a lot of ideas on how I wanted to write my own novel.
Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?
I see myself in 5-10 years as a well-known author who owns her own publishing company. I also want to direct my own films.
What do you like and dislike about today’s literature?
I like how relatable and down to earth some of the books are but I don’t like how some of the ideas and storylines are very similar to others.
What’s the inspiration behind your novel?
The inspiration behind my books includes reflection on the part of my life when I was a troubled young woman, finding a way to push beyond bad situations and thrive.
How do fashion and literature intertwine?
In literature, most authors incorporate fashion when describing their characters. This gives the reader a way to visualize the characters.
Describe your ideal closet?
My ideal closet would be organized by colors, then seasons and neat.
A trend that has caught your eye lately?
The trend that has caught my eye this year is really an older trend that was brought back and that is the joggers or what I knew as jogging suits.
Style to me is defined as fashion, mannerisms, and confidence in whatever you do.
What is your influence and do you think people take away from you?
My influence is originality. I hope that others will aim to be their own person and be confident to go for their goals.
